KI is Moving and Expanding. And a new contest!

Some of you may have heard some rumors about a new feature coming to KI. KImember and myself starting working on KI’s biggest project ever back in November. Last month we invited the other Mods and Admins to help us finish it. We have all been working hard and would like to officially announce it.

pl086 asked me this question yesterday and I can now answer it.

What is the new KI feature that is being released?

Well pl086 the new feature is, KI Fourm, or you could also call it the new KI. For simplicity I will call it KI Forum in this article. KI Forum is a new site that we will use to build on the success of KI. KI Forum allows use to use the old KI as a reference site for the Brand New KI. KI Wetpaint will never be retired. It is a part of my memories and I cannot part with it. So instead it will be merged with the new KI. I will release more info on how they will be merged soon. I am mid-way through this process. Now you may be asking why are we moving/expanding. Well KI has been facing some challenges lately. One of the biggest is we are unable to set up a trading system there because I cannot create a secure way of doing so. Using KI Forum a Trading Exchange has become reality. If you want to you can apply to join the KI Trading Exchange to exchange virtual webkinz world items. Also the other main problem with KI is that our forum is not very advanced. Wetpaint forums are not built for the way we use them. KI is a very social community so a more sophisticated forum is needed to support or demands. I could go into detail about how the new forum will help but it would be easier for you to see for yourself. Please welcome KI Forum located at kinzisland.forumotion.com

Now you may ask how does this announcement relate to a contest. pl086 has come up with an excellent idea for a contest to help release KI Forum. We are having and ask the Staff contest. If you join KI Forum by Wednesday you will be automatically entered in a draw to win the opportunity to ask 5 questions to the staff member(s) of your choice. All the questions and the answers will be posted here on the front page later in the week.

Finally on a side note, I would like to welcome my brother KImember as co-founder of KI. KImember was always a contributor to the site even before he became a member. So please congradulate him on this accomplishment. We hope to continue to serve KI well for many months and years to come.

April and May 2009 POTMs Announced

The POTMs for April and May 2009 have been announced on the Webkinz Retailers’ Site . April’s POTM will be the Webkinz Alley Cat (Large Size Only) and May’s POTM will be the Webkinz Cocker Spaniel (Large Size Only).

Also just as a reminder this month the POTM is the Webkinz Googles and next month it is the Webkinz Yorkie.

New Prize Pet for Trading Card Series:4

After all of that contraversey out there it is now announced that there will be a Mystical Panda. The Mystical Panda can be awarded by buying a pack of cards that contain this “ultra-rare” pet! The pet PSF (Pet Special Food) is Star Shimmer Sippers and the PSI (Pet Special Item) is the Sun’s Embrace Bed! Here are some pics!

2 More Secret Recipes Solved

Late last evening the mother son duo of webkinzinsider.com members Hptigerlily and 149 pokemon created a mystery recipe with Macaroni and Cheese, Pretzel, and Peanuts. When they solved it they could only get a blank dish similar to the glitch with Twistifish Fondue earlier this week. It seems that this glitch got the attention of Ganz and they fixed the graphics for Fixichini, Abracaldo Dabra, and Pearlipat. 2 of these 3 recipes are now solved. It turns out Macaroni and Cheese, Pretzel, and Peanuts on the Stove creates Fixichini

And earlier today webkinzinsider.com member AChip solved her 8th secret recipe, Pearlipat. This recipe can be made using Fish Sticks, Pear and Salad on the Stove.

Also these 2 recipes bring up the total recipes solved in the last 5 days to 4 recipes. And leaves only 3 recipes unsolved, YummyTummy Tumbler, Demitasse Lassi, and Abracaldo Dabra.

Poppaballoo Secret Recipe Solved

After being unsolved for over 6 months webkinzinsider.com member AChip has solved her lucky seventh recipe, Poppaballoo! This is also the second recipe solved this week!

This recipe can be made on the Stove with Ginger Ale, Eggs, and Strawberry Yogurt

Twistifish Fondue Secret Recipe Solved

Twistifish Fondue which was released on Feb. 4th, 2009 has already been solved. It can be made on the Blender with Pretzel, Cheese, and Fish Sticks
